The 2012 MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week has officially ended with a splendid bang as some of Africa’s top creative designers were present to deliver the best of fashion to all with their new collections.

As BellaNaija Style brings you more fabulous runway shots from the fashion week presentation, here are the winners of the MTN LFDW Young Designer of the Year, Model of the Year and Young Creative Entrepreneur being presented with their prizes.

MTN LFDW Model of the Year – Roots Odutola
We can all agree that strutting the runway during fashion week presentations is always a hard task. Last year, Jenevieve Aken was crowned the MTN LFDW Model of the Year, this year, law student Roots Odutola clinched the coveted title of the runway queen and was awarded a cheque of N 1 Million (N1,000,000).

MTN LFDW Young Designer of the Year – Joshua Samuel of Josh
At this year’s MTN LFDW, lots of emerging Nigerian fashion brands were present to showcase their new fashion pieces as well as vie for the prize of the Young Designer of the Year. After a rigorous screening exercise, Joshua Samuel emerged winner. The design label was awarded a cheque of N 4 Million (N 4,000,000) and 3 Months free rack space at Grey Velvet and L’Espace.

MTN LFDW Young Creative Entrepreneur of the Year
In September BellaNaija Style announced that Isoken Ogiemwonyi, a creative director of Nigerian contemporary fashion label Obsidian and co-founder of retail brands, Le Petit Marche (a monthly shopping event in Lagos, Nigeria) and L’Espace (independent fashion and lifestyle concept store) has been chosen as the 2012 MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week/British Council Young Creative Entrepreneur of the Year.

Isoken was awarded a cheque of N 2 Million (N 2,000,000) and a tour of London Fashion Week courtesy British Council at the award presentation.
